In Dec of 2012 I took my son and sent with my parents to New York City for a week. It was AMAZING!!! Can’t even tell you all the wonderful things we did! And to remember everything, this year my mom gave me a scrap book that is out of this world!! I’m going to share a few of the pages so you can ooh and aah with me!!
Here’s a copy of the cover. It’s King Kong hugging the empire state building. So funny! (My dad and I watch old B movies together…okay and new B movies too!)
Rockettes and the tree at the ice skating rink at Rockefeller Plaza. (I’ve flip this pic over twice and it just likes being upside down for some reason so I’m running with it.)
Dylan’s Candy Bar – I’m pretty sure my son still has a sugar high from this place. It was insane with the amount of candy it had! And we got to see some of the Project Runway designs from that season.
Statue of Liberty day – beautiful and COLD!! Right before we got on the tour boat we stopped at a bench outside so I could put gloves on and this squirrel comes hauling ass up to me, hops in my back and starts digging for food. It was hilarious!! And no he didn’t find anything.
NYC food at Guy Fieri’s restaurant and then the Lion King. Loved it!!
More pics of the Lion King. We had a blast!
So I’ve got one more swag pack to giveaway to one lucky commenter. Tell me your favorite vacation moment and you could win.

Skye has spent her life being the perfect daughter for her prominent, wealthy parents. She says all the right things, wears all the right clothes…and lies through her teeth about the kind of sex she needs. The bland “gentlemen†she dates don’t know a thing about what gets her going—and when they find out, they run screaming. In her deepest, naughtiest dreams, she finds a man…or two…who knows just how to tie her up and tease her until she’s begging for more. But those guys don’t really exist, do they?
Jackson wants one thing for Christmas, and her name is Skye. He’s watched her from afar for ages, biding his time, waiting for his chance to give her the kind of pleasure she craves. And this Christmas he’s going to get his way. He’s enlisted his buddy Nick and the two of them are going to give Skye a holiday treat she’ll never forget.
Inside Scoop: This holiday threesome features bondage and spanking benches…and creates whole new uses for Christmas lights and candy canes.

I’m going to just jump right in and get the easy stuff out of the way up-front. I am a wife, mother and business owner in Texas with very long black hair and a penchant for high heels and pretty outrageous toe nail polish. I have a very supportive family that I love unconditionally and am fortunate enough to genuinely like and respect them as well.
I started reading romance back in college, liked it so-so, and then I found erotica. Stories a bit on the dark side, a lot on the naughty side, and at the risk of sounding cheesy, it felt like coming home. Finding a genre made just for minds like mine was an amazing revelation, and I swear the characters in my head haven’t stopped hounding me since!
Something I always love reading about other authors are the funny quirks and idiosyncrasies that make each of us unique, so I thought I’d share a few of mine. These are in no particular order and pretty random, so brace yourselves…
I am a morning person who doesn’t drink caffeine, and I am definitely a glass-half-full kind of girl. I have an extreme case of being left-hand stupid and am bad at all sports that end in “ballâ€! Hot weather is my favorite because I’m cold all the time, and I adore lying in the sun. You’ll find a closed sign hanging off my forehead at 10 p.m. pretty much every night when my brain clocks out. What’s weird is I can write ‘til the wee hours of the morning though. Probably because the characters just shove me aside so they can say their piece.
Ooh, and I never procrastinate! If something needs to be done today, it should have been finished yesterday. I call this fantastic; several people, who shall remain nameless, call it having a bug up my A**… I think I’ll stick with fantastic.
I refuse to use a flat sheet to sleep, I love perfume but only one kind, and before I die I want to own flip-flops in every color of the rainbow. And last but not least, the yea or nay on a particular food being deemed good or gross is based off of texture first, taste second.
I hope my writing speaks for itself, and I hope it speaks to you. The fact that I have the opportunity to share a little piece of myself with you absolutely floors me. On a daily basis I am overwhelmed by the good fortune that is my life, and vowed years ago never to take it for granted.
Best advice I’ve ever been given – find the real you and never settle for anything less! Well guess what? I found her! Lord help the rest of you.
Neat post! My second oldest got to go to New York with her drama class a few years ago and I was SOOO jealous. They got to see Wicked on Broadway! I’m hoping to make it up there one day too.
My favorite vacation moment happens every spring break when we take our annual road trip through the Texas Hill Country. We always stop for lunch at Chappell Hill sausage company and have a blast.
Your Quickie book cover is one of my faves!
Jane you have to go! It’s like another country up there!
I love annual trips. Something wonderful to look forward to every year.
I love that quickie cover too! As soon as I saw it I knew it was mine. 🙂
This sounds like a really fun vacation! 😀 My best vacation was one I took when I was 18. My uncle flew me up to Barrow, Alaska for a graduation present. I spent two weeks in a place where the sun never dipped below the horizon for more than 15 minutes and the warmest it got the whole time I was there was 40 degrees. It was an adventure, and I’ll never forget it!
JS – I’d love to visit Alaska!! I don’t know if I could handle the sunlight or darkness all the time. I think I’d be better with the sunshine 24/7 though. Great trip!
Aww… great photos, Jennifer! Many of our great vacation moments revolve around food 😉 We recently ate our way through Seattle, with some breaks for the Space Needle and their great science museum and their very large Costco 😉 It sounds like Skye’s Christmas is going to be very, VERY good 🙂
Vacation I think should always be about the food!! Especially trying new food you’ve never had before. Be adventurous!! It’ll definitely make for better more poignant memories.
Skye’s Christmas Present is AMAZING and wish I had a best friend like Jenna who could get me something so deliciously naughty!!
I don’t vacation near enough! Recently, in October, my hubby and I took a trip down memory lane when we went to St. Pete Beach, FL. where we had been married 25 years ago. We went to a couple of our favorite restaurants, walked the beaches, went to the church where we got married. It was quite lovely.
