Ooh, these are some good posts! I saw some favorites and some new titles to add to my tbr pile.
I have a mixture of some faves and tco (to check out) titles to share. I’m a huge Philip K Dick fan and love his short story anthologies. Second Variety, We Can Get it For You Wholesale, Paycheck, The Golden Man, Minority are my favorite shorts (I loved the movies, too). Plus Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep which Blade Runner was based on.
I love the cyberpunk genre a lot and have some new goodies on my list to check out. The Takeshi Kovacs novels (Altered Carbon is the first), Marc D Giler’s futuristic duology starting with Hammerjack and of course the grandfather of the genre William Gibson’s Neuromancer.
As for urban fantasy, I recently got into Jim Butcher’s Dresden Files and love them! I especially love the audiobooks narrated by James Marsters (yup THAT James Marsters!) I also liked the first Sookie book (reading Book 2 now and enjoying Season 2 of True Blood). I also loved the Blood Martyr chapter series by Fionn Jameson, Unseelie by Meredith Holmes and The Seattle Barista Killer by Murdoch Hughes.
