I have a confession, I didn’t always want to be a writer. It was something that crept up on me even though I’d always enjoyed creative writing at school and been an excellent and prolific penpal. In fact, it was only a few years ago that I found myself suddenly besieged by ideas for stories of my own and decided to give it a go. I was surprised to be published within my first year and I have to confess that I love it! My original story is aimed at a YA audience and so when I saw the submissions call from Breathless Press for erotic short stories with a military theme, I wasn’t sure that it was for me. I couldn’t write a kissing scene without blushing! However, I’ve never shied away from a challenge and when I reached the end, I found myself convinced I’d stumbled onto something good. However, I couldn’t possibly submit an erotica story under the same name as my YA book. I had to consider the vastly different readerships and also the difficulties it would pose for me in having to restrict my blog and social media to accommodate a younger audience. The solution in the end was simple and Allie A Burrow was born. Allie gets to have all the naughty fun and be the wild child, while I get to maintain two separate audiences for my books. It’s no secret that I’m Allie A Burrow and Aurelia B Rowl, but the fun comes in getting to be both!
For One Night Only was the short story I submitted which appeared in the Serviced Anthology. Now, I’m proud to say that it’s being released as a stand alone Flirt by Breathless Press and I hope that you’ll check it out HERE.
