I’m Christie Silvers–wife, mother, and writer. I’ve been married to my high school sweetheart for 14 1/2 years and we have three daughters. I started writing a few years ago and have enjoyed ever minute of it.
I have a love of the paranormal, with vampires as a particular interest of mine. I don’t like the creepy, ugly vampires. I enjoy the sexy, the enticing, and the please-bite-me-right-here kind of vampires.
I was first turned onto vampires back in the 80’s by the movie Lost Boys. I was only ten years old at the time and absolutely amazed by it. Later on, in my teen years, I was introduced to Anne Rice’s vampire series. After that, there was no looking back.
Then, many years later, I came across Charlaine Harris’s Sookie series and MaryJanice Davidson’s Betsy series. I’d never read humorous vampire stories like these. They wowed me from the beginning, and I’m still reading them every time a new book comes out (just finished Undead and Unworthy last month).
Now I work on my own stuff. I enjoy the writing. I love watching as the characters develop their lives at my fingertips. I really enjoy hearing readers tell me how much they liked the stories. It’s loads of fun and I hope to be able to do it for the rest of my days.
