When I wrote my first book for Harlequin Superromance in 2012, I had no idea Finding Justice would grab ahold of me in quite the way it did.I certainly didn’t know I would fall in love with the setting and find myself not quite ready to leave once I typed ‘The End’.
Since then, I have had four more books published in the series (A Man Like Him, What Belongs To Her and Christmas at the Cove – coming in November), and currently nearing the end of the first draft of book five. Am I getting tired of the small UK seaside town of Templeton Cove? Not on your nelly! The books are a mix of contemporary romance stories and romantic suspense stories. As my editor is happy for me to choose the sub-genre of the books, I have may more ideas for future books stored on my laptop and in my head.
More and more often, I am receiving emails from readers telling me they love the books and suggesting secondary characters who deserve their own story. I love this! I am so excited readers are getting as involved in this fictional community as I am :)My favorite series of books I love to read are the lucky Harbor by Jill Shalvis, The Virgin River series by Robyn Carr and the many fabulous trilogies and series by Nora Roberts. It is a dream come true to be writing a series of my own!
I’d love to hear from you! What are your favorite series? Or do you prefer stand alone novels? Favorite settings or characters? I could talk romance novels all day!
Happy Reading, Rachel x
- About the Author
- Posts in the Past
I am married with two young daughters and live near the famous city of Bath in the UK. I have written stories forever but starting writing toward publication about six years ago.
I love every sub-genre of romance from contemporary to historical, suspense to paranormal – I just can’t get enough of that ‘love against all odds’ feeling! My ideal ‘me time’ is sitting in my sun-baked back garden, my Labrador at my feet, a book in one hand and a glass of Sauvignon Blanc in the other. Ah, bliss…

Favorite Series: 1)Time for Love Series by Miranda P. Charles, and 2)Love in Bloom Series by Melissa Foster
Favorite Characters: 1)Rom and Jule from Shannon Leigh’s Forbidden Kiss, and 2)Max and Verity from Elizabeth Rolls’ His Lady Mistress
Favorite Setting: This one’s hard. Does Regency count? LOL I love Regency romances, but I have a soft spot for small-town romances as well.

Hi Miriam! sorry about our comments crossing like that :/
I haven’t read any of those authors so I am adding them to my ever growing list of authors I want to check out! I enjoy Regency too, but my absolute favorite is Victorian…hence why I write Victorian romances for eKensington in addition to my Superromances 🙂
Hi Rachel! No worries 🙂
I looked at your website and noticed the Victorian romances. 🙂 They went straight to my Christmas Wishlist!
I could be wrong but I think His Lady Mistress was published by Harlequin. I just started reading it again. I’m reading two fantasy books, so Mistress is my “need a break” book when I’m feeling overwhelmed by the other two.
You’re fabulous! I love my books being added to any list 🙂
I do that too – mix my reading up to keep it interesting!
