Hi, Bonnie, and bloggers! I hope everyone is having a lovely Monday, (if that’s even possible.) LOL! I have my extra large coffee mug in hand, and am ready to blabber…err, blog away!Â
First, if you would like to learn a bit about me, click on the link to the right! 🙂
So, let’s see…Christmas, as usual, was an absolute blur. I think anyone with kids understands this.  My husband and I were up until the wee hours, putting toys together for our son.  Of course, the kids then proceed to wake us up at 5am to open presents, and have ripped through most of them before the coffee is even done brewing. (Hence the blur)  :-)  My son did say it was, “The best Christmas, ever,” and my daughter loved her presents, so all in all, it was a good day!
Among my gifts were new workout shoes and an MP3 player, even though I asked for a laptop and an iPod. {{shrug}} I guess I was naughty! LOL!  What did everyone else get? Or not get? Oh, that reminds me…one year, I put coal in my husband’s stocking! You should have seen the look on my kids faces! Priceless! If you have little ones, I highly suggest doing it. Makes them extra good for the next year. Well, at least for the month of December, anyway. 🙂
As far as the book writing goes, I currently have two releases releases available. “Ember’s Desire” is a short story in the Blue Moon Magic anthology from Highland Press. “Claiming the Lamb” is an erotic, paranormal novella, in the Jaded Beasts IV digest from Midnight Showcase.  I am running a contest on my website from now until the 31st of January. I’ll be giving away a print copy of Jaded Beats IV, along with a bag of Ghiradelli chocolates to one lucky entrant! Just go to: www.meaganhatfield.com and visit my contest page for more information.Â
Current projects…
I’m very excited to be working on a ballet-themed romance anthology entitled, Dance en L’air, for Highland Press. Though they’ve only been around for a year, they already have numerous award winning authors on board, including Leanne Burroughs, Deborah MacGillivray and Dawn Thompson, to name a few.
I also thrilled to announce, I just sold my fantasy romance novel, A Magical Encounter, to Mardi Gras Publishing! I do not have a release date yet, but will definitely update my website once I do, so check back for more information. Here is a quick blurb:

Hi there! I am an author of fantasy, historical, paranormal, contemporary and erotic romances. When I’m not sitting in front of the computer, I’m working part time at a fitness club, where I enjoy taking Tae-bo, and Spinning classes. At home, I’m a busy mom of two and a wanna-be French Chef & wine connoisseur. 🙂
Hi Meagan!
Yes, Mondays can be happy! snicker…sort of! T
Hey Megan! Dropped over to say hi. Caught your note on MySpace. Have fun blogging this week!

Karenne,
I’m not sure…my Monday’s always feel like Mondays. *grins*
Hey, Yazza!!
Thanks for stopping by, girl!
Meagan
Way to start off your New Year, Meagan! Congrats on all of your writing success.
Hello, Meagan,
I saw your note on MySpace, too. What a lovely forum this is!
All right, so if you want a Lord of the Rings question, how old were you when you first read it? Where were you? And which hero did you swoon over *before* Peter Jackson (I so hope I got his name right) decided that Viggo would be the face and body of Aragorn, Orlando would be the face, body, and legs of Legolas, and Sean Bean would be Boromir?
Best wishes,
Rowena Cherry
Whose heroines get more hero than they bargain for…
LOL! You are too much, Rowena!
Hmmm. The first time I read LOTR was back in Jr. High. Since, Tolkien didn’t make his characters multi-dimensional, or his story romantic – I didn’t find any of them swoon worthy. 🙂 In fact, I didn’t even know who Arwen was until a fellow geek pointed her out in the appendix. (who reads those things, anyway?) 🙂
Who did you swoon over, Rowena? Inquiring minds want to know. 😉
Now, the Peter Jackson version…
Well, let’s just say I would be willing to get lost in Middle Earth, with those fella’s, ANYTIME! LOL!
Thanks for stopping by!
