I’d would like to say that I was published immediately, at least in romance.  But that is not the case.  I think I wrote for about 10 years before I got my first break.   I’m still not published with the “big houses” and that prejudice against those published by a small press or e-press may be addressed in another post.

My first writings were short stories and poems.  Unluckily, I didn’t keep any of the magazines in which they were published.  I’m not sure why; I guess it is just one of those stupid college moments.  I even threw away my journal of poetry.  It was really “dark” and depressing.  It wasn’t that my life was unhappy; it is just that the dark poetry seemed easier to write at the time.

On a lighter note, I do have a manuscript secreted away just in case Native American Westerns make a huge comeback.   I also have my contemporary romantic suspense that was published in 2002 which I plan to rewrite and submit to another publisher.

I also have an idea for my next single title after the Rothirforde trilogy is finished.  The strange part about that is my dh gave me the idea.  I can hardly wait to begin writing it, but I must finish the trilogy first.

Well off to find the next except to continue from the previous one.
