Nora Roberts Chesapeake Bay series has got to be one of my favorites. Stories about real men struggling with life, love and each other! For me, it’s the fact that these men aren’t brothers by blood, but by love. They are just real, honest, hardworking men!
That’s what works for me in a story… how realistic are these characters? Can I relate them to someone in my life?
When you have a spare moment, Kelly, what do you enjoy reading?
I share the same feelings as Kimberly, but at the moment, my mind really draws a blank…I know there are stories that I have read that touched me deeply, and others that I have sat and cried, one is on the tip of my tongue, and I can’t think of the title right now, maybe later. I know I wanted to just jump in the book and comfort the heroine. Believable characters that tell an honest story and know how to hit the right button are ones that always capture my heart, and ones where the man usually has suffered more loss than the woman, usually hits me more, because it shows how a man can endure as much as a woman.
